Ingredients

Produce

  • 2 heads broccoli
  • 2 cloves garlic

Refrigerated

  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 cup half n half
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated

Grocery

  • 1 1/12 cups chicken broth
  • 16 oz orecchiette pasta

Spices

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Prep Produce

  • Cut the broccoli into small florets.
  • Mince the garlic.

Cook Pasta

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  • Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp olive oil to the water.
  • Add the orecchiette pasta and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until tender.
  • Drain the pasta once cooked.

Make Sauce & Steam Broccoli

  • In a large skillet, melt 1.5 sticks of butter over low heat.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in 1.5 cups of chicken broth and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the broccoli to the skillet, cover, and cook for 10 minutes on medium-high heat.

Add Cheese, Cream, & Pasta

  • Stir in 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese until melted.
  • Slowly add 1/2 cup of half and half, stirring continuously.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix thoroughly.
  • Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  • Simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
