Instructions
Prep Produce
Cut the broccoli into small florets.
Mince the garlic.
Cook Pasta
Bring a pot of water to a boil.
Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp olive oil to the water.
Add the orecchiette pasta and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until tender.
Drain the pasta once cooked.
Make Sauce & Steam Broccoli
In a large skillet, melt 1.5 sticks of butter over low heat.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Pour in 1.5 cups of chicken broth and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Add the broccoli to the skillet, cover, and cook for 10 minutes on medium-high heat.
Add Cheese, Cream, & Pasta
Stir in 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese until melted.
Slowly add 1/2 cup of half and half, stirring continuously.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix thoroughly.
Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
